Wow.  These photos were taken when the world was without color.  My brother Jerry is getting a much needed bath and cranial message therapy by a strange man and another brother (Jim) is wondering why his sister Joni has his birthday toy horn.  He has two cakes for his birthday!

To Catch A Humming Bird

This is only the second time I caught a humming bird.  One must be quick and have the power of St. Francis of Assisi to draw and capture this amazing bird.  To feel its amazingly rapid tiny beating heart (over a thousand beats per minute) was a twice in a lifetime experience.  I am told that if you swallow it whole the humming bird can be felt tickling your stomach for hours.  That experience will take second place to the pain you will feel from the beak sticking through your abdomen.  Check out some nice facts about humming birds: http://www.worldofhummingbirds.com/facts.php

My Chipped Elbow

I chipped my right elbow back in college while roller skating.  I was skating backwards, dancing with my partner who was facing me at the time.  Nice gal as I remember (if you are reading this I need your phone number).  We were rolling along quite well until overconfidence caused me to stumble and fall backwards onto my elbow.  I can still feel the chipped place on the bone.  The actual bone chip has disappeared somewhere.  I checked my pockets and the closet....no chip to be found.
